Innsbruck is called the „Heart of the alps“ for many reasons: First of all, it lies in the middle of the mountains, from the old town to the top of the mountains, you’ll only need 20 minutes. The second reason is the great amount of wintersport venues provided around the town, such as the Ski jumping stadium, the Olympic  bobsleigh track, many ski areas with olympic history, the Olympic Ice Hall and many more.
But Innsbruck isn’t just a place to make sports! It has a long  history , a wonderful old town and many places to explore… Welcome to Innsbruck! Enjoy your stay!

We are very happy to welcome you to the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Innsbruck, Austria.
It’s a great pleasure for us to have some of the best skaters in the world performing here in Innsbruck. After hosting two Olympic Wintergames in 1964 and 1976, the Winter University Games in 2005 and many other ISU competitions we are very excited to host this ISU Junior Grand Prix.
Innsbruck and Austria, with their big tradition in wintersports are the perfect places to host a competition for figure skating: a sport that combines both sportsmanship and artistry.
